"Easy to use, no frills type of product. I don't mind that it doesn't come with the same amount of clips as rollers, I find my hair holds just fine with the smaller rollers and then i use the clips for the bigger sizes. These aren't the most high quality rollers, but they work!"
"I remember my mother using rollers back in the 1970's! Rest assured that the modern version is much more comfortable and easier to use! The bright pink of these makes me happy. The rollers come in a clear bag and fit inside each other; good for storage or travel. My shoulder length hair is very straight and fine. I also have a lot of layers. I like to use these rollers in the morning when I am getting ready for work. I can shape and tame my layers while I put on my make up and drink my coffee. You get three different sizes; small, medium and large. They are easy to roll and grip my hair. I add the clips that come with them for extra hold but not necessary for smaller, thinner sections of hair. It definitely helps me style the layers in the back as I cannot quite get them to look as good as my hairdresser! I don't use them to create curls so I can't speak for that but they are perfect for my needs."
"You will need extra clips because you may need to use more rollers than there are clips. Also, you may need to use 2 clips per roller to stabilize it. It's been years since I've used rollers and I've had all kinds of memories flood my brain while rolling my hair with these rollers. I think I have a picture of myself when I was around 7 years old and had a head full of curlers. What I remember from those days, don't even think you will be able to sleep with these on your head! If you do think you can get through the insane discomfort, tie a scarf over the rollers or buy a satin type bonnet cap. This prevents the curlers from getting pulled out by friction while you toss and turn because you've realized they actually are uncomfortable to sleep in. What I'd recommend is wash your hair in the morning and then put the rollers in and allow them to dry all day. The longer your hair is, the longer it will take to dry. If you put in a styling gel prior to rolling, your curls will hold much longer. If you want to put the curlers in a dry your hair with a hairdryer, consider investing in a bonnet hair dryer. These curlers are good quality and the fact they are ""self-grip"" just means they will hold onto your hair unlike plain plastic rollers. I think these would be a really fun thing to do for a teen's slumber party! Buy several sets and a salon quality water spray bottle to dampen their hair. It doesn't need to be saturated. Get them some cute spa like facial masks and do a spa party."
"I'll be honest I thought these would be easy to use but this was my first time attempting them and it went horribly wrong lol! I very rarely ever do my hair so I had almost no idea what I was doing but I watched a few YouTube videos and practiced eventually sort of getting it but I still need significant practice. From a price point these are most def reasonable. Just keep practicing!"
